I have been fitting some LEDs to my Scania R Series today,in the name board light (above the visor).
There is a small white rectangular connector about 2 to 3 inches long , it has wire going into each end and the middle of it is filled with what looks like copper…i think it must be some sort of resistor.
Being a clumsy [zb] Ive managed to snap the wire off going into it.
The lights still work OK if I bypass it but Im not sure if I may do damage to the circuit without it being connected.
hi martin its doughnut, andy hawkins mate ■■? aint spoke for a while seen u about but u wouldnt know what to look for. i have an r series with leds in headboard the peice in question should not be played about with, the best best thing to do to save any trouble is to buy another light unit from scanias !! hope this helps and see you soon.
Some of you guys are sooooo amusing, you are wasted in the transport industry
Ive managed to get the whole thing out now so im gunna play it safe and buy a new one probably be one of those typical small Scania parts that cost a small fortune.
