Scania drivers

Hi all
Just looking for a little advice.
Anybody know how you change heated mirror on a scania 280 ( rigid )
Hit a branch last week and smashed the back cover and mirror swung round and cracked mirror into a few pieces but stayed insitu , was no mirror in stock so fitted back cover no problem , mirror glass has now arrived but not sure if you need to take back off or just yank mirror off .
Any helpers I would be very grateful
Thanks

Should have got camera mirrors…most likely would have missed the branch!

If it’s an older model then just angle the mirror upwards so that there is a big gap at the bottom then gently pull upward on it and the glass will pop off the motor. Have a look on the new one and you’ll see where it mounts to give you an idea. If it’s a new gen I’ve never done one but can’t see it being much different, maybe a clip to slide off like some cars, but probably not. Again, just look on the back of the new one to see how it fastens on. Don’t forget to plug the wires in for the heated mirror

Of course it was said in jest, but actually having since driven a truck with mirrors, so obviously they were a little bit broken, but not so broken that they get repaired. I quite like the mirror cams that are always as good as they get, instead of more than likely a little bit broken.
If mirror cams fail, that’s not my problem, and I’ve never experienced it.
