kerby motors 143 at truckfest scotland 2008
WOW what a fantastic post!!!
my old boss had the yellow short door J plate 450 topline tag in this picture, sadly i dont know the centurion edition number of it.
I had the pleasure of driving the M reg 500 topline streamline tag next to it.
i was the very proud driver of this fabulous truck for 6 months
Two more Centurions, both started out belonging to owner drivers working for Langdons of Taunton. The blue one belongs to restorer Ashley Pearce and the red one is my dads and still works.

J397 FYB was supplied new to Maxi Mehrlich, an O/D for Langdons. He had the only blue motor in the fleet (the rest of course are white) and I believe that he still runs a blue one to this day, and is still with Langdons.
when ashley bought FYB from a paddy it had a factory white cab.
Was Following J500REO belonging to RE Owens Shropshire up the A41 this afternoon… Passed it eventually and it was a centurion and cracking looking truck Sailing well aswell
I thought the blue 143 belonging to Maxi was a third Centurion at Langdons, it was registered J4 MJM [later put on his blue 4 series].
Ashleys J397 FYB and my dads [which was originally J981 BYA] both had mostly white cabs.
Perfectly correct. Maxi had his personal plate added after it had been originally registered J397 FYB by Westrucks of Bristol. My son was, at that time, sales co-ordinator in the office and arranged the original number and the transfer.
In the Truck & Driver write up it says J397 FYB [no.9] was new to a Gordon Arden at Langdons who later sold it to Gilders who sold it to Ireland.
I will confirm that with my son - I believe that he is still in touch with Gordon’s son, Mike.
i couldnt resist this mota at peterboro truckfest back in may…my favorite truck at the show
this was my first truck…really miss this old girl
Is this a 3 Series thread? thought it was a centurion thread??!■■

sorry, i do appologise.
I,m with you Tappy, M500 TAG does look the business, and thats coming from someone who doesnt really like Scanias.
I had a brand new Streamliner in 94 and loved it to bits, but i think a Scania would be bottom of my new lorry wish list these days, but you know what they say…each to their own.
thats kenny’s old motor
Can anyone provide information on any of the other Centurions?
John Davidson @ Mounthooly Transport, Jedburgh had J500 JWD that was a Centurion. Currently no photos of it yet.
Also a bloke I used to know Peter James of Bridgenorth had one, think it was a 360.

I think Millar International ( Northern Ireland ) had some, kind of a peanut butter and dark red I think, cant be 100% sure, but I specifically remember them hootin up and down the M1 here in Belfast.
