I do believe i have a pic of J3 RRH
Gaz:
As an aside the best 3 series toplines had the 2/3 split bottom bunk with the passenger seat on a full length runners that went to the back wall, well ahead of its time!
I thought all 3 series Topliners had the passenger seat on runners that went to the back of the cab with a LONG handle at the side of the seat?? I had an ‘F’ reg 143 450 Topliner and that had this type of passenger seat.
Ross.

Well thats along story…Drove truck to qatar, gearbox blew up in hafar, town center on way down, on a friday, there holy day, was towed to doha on a bar by two brits, thanks again webster brothers !couldnt get a cheap gearbox, so left truck and flew home, trl at the site of football staduim ,truck in workshop, did a seller down, with a second hand gearbox, but was in a hurry as i had a family holiday booked to go on,so left gearbox at workshop and flew home… whilst i was away they fitted gearbox, at grahams in doha, graham, who used to own the truck, mentioned that he could have it resprayed whilst there, so we got that done…some three to four months has passed now, i fly back to pick up truck, all done tidy, goes to pick up trl, well… they have finished building the staduim, packed up and left, leaving all the building debris in the corner, which is where i left the trl…, some three hours later, in 50 degrees c and more heat, i have handballed enough gear out of the way to drag the trl out… well almost enough gear, i had to change down a bit and floor it… got her out though…should have got a picture of that too…

Great story! Lol! Should have got a pic
is that the one that got done in spain for no limiter? if so you’re lucky they didn’t do you for overlength, they don’t like all that crap on the front in spain.
I’ve seen them a few times measuring the scandinavians at Irun

this one is 001 its an h reg 113 360
& a couple of Essex boys to finish!
Hi i am new to forum, I was pointed the direction of this site while trying to find info on the Scania Centurion.
My uncle used to own a centurion and trying to re-create this in model form but have very limited info on it as he sold it a good 10 years ago.
I am not sure on the number but the reg was J2BWE ( may have been a private plate) and i am not sure if my uncle was the original owner or not. It was a 6x2 tag with and 143 450 V8.
here is a scanned photo of it
Would anyone know if this still around if it still holds that reg.
Hiya, welcome to the forums! J2 BWE is apparently a ‘Scania flatbed’, and is taxed as a private car. Flatbed may just mean rigid, which i guess would mean it’s still a tractor unit, but not taxed to pull trailers. So sounds to me like it’s a restored show motor or something similar? Maybe someone else has some more information…
Heres the info I found on it:
Manufacturer: Scania
Model: Not available
Year: 1991
Colour: Red
Fuel Type: Diesel
Engine Size (CC): 14200
VIN: Not available
V5C Issued: Not available
So it does look like its still the original truck with that reg.
Neil.
