I can’t think what the reg is off the top of my head, certainly looks the same spec. John who owned it is on facebook i’ll have to ask the exact history of it. Although it has never had an air kit fitted, which that 1 has.

Didnt Scania have a Centurion Owners Club for awhile with newsletters etc?

Does anybody have any of the newsletters that they could scan and post on here.

Cheers
Mark

I see that 002 on fleabay has been knocked down for £14,450, despite its non-original side plaques.

& a couple of Essex boys to finish!

How is Johnny G now?

Hello Dave, Yes, it is me and that is the Master you can just see in the picture.

You should see it now. Alistair Sloan from Northern Ireland has it and has done a brilliant restoration on it.
It was at Peterborough Truckfest earlier in the year.

I have just sent him the original sleeping bag, and Ian Mckeller has said that he will send him the TV & Fax machine, so that he can have it as original as possible.

Anyway, how things?

Still working for Redbinn Transferā– ā– ?

How is Johnny G now?

Hello Rob,

Johhny G hasn’t improved much physically, still no feeling anywhere but, he has gained limited movement in his right arm and has learned to do a few things for himself.

He can turn the page of a book, control his electric chair and, using his special mug, manage to get the odd pint of bitter down him too.

At the moment, his time is spent between a care home and the bungalow that him & Carol are having converted near East Dereham.

He still has the best sense of humour ever which, I suppose is the main thing.

Would you like me to pass on your regards when I see/speak to him next?

Thanks for that. It’s been a while since ive heard of his progress, didn’t realise it was so severe. Certainly changed my attitude when on the back of the trailer when I found out.

Here is the orginal poster released by scania

Remember them, used to have those posters pinned to my wall (i was 12), but i didnt remember the shoddy curtains or bedspread!.
