Scania>centurian

And I think PJK had one but it ended up with the famous Mr Tapper at Winchester.

One of my ex boss’s had J100 HGM from new, a 4x2 143 450 with no spoiler kit, it was white with the ‘purple-ish’ stripes. It did a lot of work for Chafer liquid fertilizer, hence no spoiler kit (farms and lanes etc)
Last time i saw it (1998ish), i was coming out of the Pidou nr Transmarck and the new owner was coming round the roundabout the wrong way.
If i remember rightly, it had an British built euroliner behind it.
Unfortunatly i have no idea what number it was.

Hi Kindle…Number 26 currently resides in Riverstick …Beautiful truck to drive…Easy to see why the 3 series was so popular …

Well i never! Its amazing what turns up on here!! Nice to see its still about riverstick, and it looks great, 100% better with a spoiler kit.
When i got a job with Moore’s, I asked for the 143, but as the bosses best mate was driving it, there was no chance of getting behind the wheel, i ended up with a brand new R reg Daf 95 XF Space Cab.

Nice photo of 2 of the best motors ever made mate!

Found a few bits and pieces.Click on to read.

Ernest Awre used to have a 143 (450?) don’t know if it was a Centurion or just a ‘normal one’.

Does anyone have any information and ideally any pictures of the famous 100
limited edition 113/143 Scania’s??

Hi chalkey,

hope this is of some good for you, I took the pic at truckfest in may 1991. I’m not a scania man, so I’ve no info on it!

cheers,

brookie

Fieldings ran that old girl for about 7 years. Me brother was the only one to drive her in all that time before he got his new Globetrotter (2nd pic)
McKellar brought it of Fieldings, ran it for 3-4 years then off it went to Ireland

Jacko…I remember reading an article years ago in one of the trucking magazines about that Fieldings Centurian.

Cant remember if the article was about the company itself or about the fact that they had got a Centurian and what they were going to do witth it!!

Did a lot european exhibitions IIRC!!

This one Bullit,

Me bro won’t thank me one bit posting this Truck & Driver 1993 on ere, a few pies have been downed since!

Thats the one mate…bloody hell, 1993!!! where does the time go??

I dont suppose that issue has an article about the ODA aid convoys running into Sarajevo in Bosnia does it??

If it has then im in it!!!

cheers, bullitt.
