Would love to have a drive in 1 of these for old times sake , passed my test in 1 and havent driven an 81 for bout 23 years so if anyone is willing to oblige me a do in one id be greatful

yes it is a stretched tractor. went well as a 4 wheeler. got the turbo engine and splitter box.
yes the cab must be bad by now. the floor was rusty when I saw it last 16 years ago. apparently it has been in Ireland for the last 16 years

easy to tell if a scania 81 is a stretched unit. the air tanks and battery carriers are different!
Fair comment the chassis rails looked like a complete leg with no joins to me.

there are 2 joins there. I cant see them in the pic. it was extended from 3.1 metre wheelbase to 4 metre

if you enlarge the ebay pics you can see a weld on the chassis rail.but the airtanks and battery boxes where the main giveaway.
looks much better as a unit imho.
this has now been sold. any body know where she is now?
