im not an ownerdriver but do have experiance of tramping in premiums daf cf,c and erf ecx and ec my personal choice would be the cf its got more room than the premium and better put together and more reliable than all of the others.the 430 daf engine can be tweaked by feather deisels to over 500 . i know this as i phoned them when i thought of starting up myself last year but most importantley if you do brake down im told dafaid is a top notch service.

there is a place in Ashby de la Zouch that can remap the ECU too 
they will do the remap and rest the valves, increasing power and torque
i am seriously considering getting my 05 plate XF430 done
since i posted that shuttle ive been looking at the 440 premium the one with the new grill and volvo running gear and to be fair they seem like a good buy.my mate drives one of the new 450,s and says its a good solid truck.so when i can get my finances sorted out next year i,ll seriously consider one along with the daf
have you had any joys in selling the daf yet shuttle
there is a member on here interested in it, he saw it at Truckfest in Peterborough, he is just waiting to get his O Licence sorted out.
he has not paid a deposit as yet, so, it still for sale 
i have just taken it off the road now as the road tax has just expired and i cannot see the point in re-taxing it just incase it does go

feathers can only do the old mechanicle pumps they cant up the power on the new er dafs
that are electrical getting it re-maped i wouldnt go there again caused me no end of problems
