Here’s another from NZ with a rear tag axle.Also note the rear of the front wheel arch,could possibly have been a day cab at some point and had a sleeper grafted in.

Maybe the bloke who owned the firm originated from Italy…they seemed to work on the principle that if there was a gap, stick another axle in it
