Spruced up!You can see ‘the face in the window’ now.
Problem is ,with that colour, it attracts the wasps in Summer.

I believe it´s some kind of combined vehicle used for sheep transport to slaughterhouses more south in Norway, and transporting mixed cargo in return. Most cargo to the Norwegian highlands goes via Oslo, if it not comes by cargo ship to ports at the coast. In any case, they most use lorries… and there has always been a lot of different combined vehicles used in Norway.

Thanks for the info Stellan, it makes it a lot more interesting when you have some background info on stuff like this , instead of surmising and getting it wrong !
It´s always nice to be able to share information, the forum becomes more interesting as you say… and sharing knowledge about our profession, vehicles and history from different parts of the world are in some way to write our own Wikipedia about what we have done in the good old days.

hej all as stellan says it,s nice to read of and see pictures of machines from near and past, one thing i,ll remember of the ls 141 we had was when you had to drive it hard the left foot was overheated cause the turbo was near the short inner bonnet,we put infirewool and a metalsheald inside the cab to make it able to drive whitout burning your toes ,it was whit the glamorous engine that we bought of the samees from north,60tn like nothing
cheers benkku
Bill showed an LBS76 from this forwarding agent in the tread about Scania-Vabis, and here´s a newer lorry hauling for the same agent. Photo taken in October 1977.

This 141 was either own by Helge R Olsen in Oslo, or engaged by Olsen on contract basis. Their office and workshop was located next to the terminal used by Autotransit in Oslo, so I saw those lorries a lot during my active days in Norway… and the rest of Europe
Here´s a link to them, and if you look at “Chassis” you can see what I believe must be the biggest chassis transporter in Europe hrolsen.no/public.aspx?pagei … plId=54187 25,25 meters

In 1973, Scania tried to sell lorries using the IKEA concept. Build your own lorry, it will be sent to you in a flat package. You might have to add a few details according to the picture before using your new lorry
