Davidoff:
Interesting pics and indeed this is Switzerland.
Harry did you already know of them or did you guess by the Swiss-spec trilex?
They are still going as a company, I have seen them on a few (rare) occasions not far from Lucerne (recent vehicles, not the 141s). I think they only ever had Scannies on their fleet.
They have a small website with a few pics - pleasingly featuring the 141s. baumann-lenzburg.ch/cms/inde … Itemid=171
I don’t know if they have saved any of the old motors…
David
This was one of my old gals. I also worked for 3 firms with the AR plates & 2 with LU plates so I should recognize my next door neighbours.

nice link there david, rear motors to hej benkku
Hello Benkku,
These pictures are more recent than I thought: I did a close-up on the last of their 6 pictures, you see the unit parked up in front of a car dealer, and half-hidden behind a red car I could see a Ford Ka. This car was only launched in 1996. So perhaps they really have kept one or more of their 141s. I’ll ask around, some mates from toprun.ch (one is Scania crazy) might have more info.
Cheers
Davidoff

Hello BMA.
It’s nice to see a growing Suomi presence on here !
My project (i assume you mean my 142) has been on hold a little these last few months, situation at work was quite unstable so I decided to sit and wait a little before I engage on the full paint job and the money involved.
As for the 8-wheeled Scannies: I am investigating, I hope to have an answer by next week. It got me curious!

The last 141 is from “Ottadalen Kommunale Billag”, which quite freely translated is “The Otta Wally municipal transport company” in Otta, Norway. Here´s a link to a Norwegian forum about this company berglitruckstop.no/viewtopic … 38&start=0

I’ve never seen that photo before. Thanks for posting, bma. Are there any more? I would love to see photos of the LB series, as it was developed through the '60s. It looks pretty well-advanced in 1964- even the rocker covers are as-production.
