Few more of my pics to keep this thread at the top; Just where the V8 should be

FUT710V - Originally owned and operated by Danny Cronin. Looks like he’s pulling a Rentco trailer. He was a subbie for us in the very early days. Last heard working for ARR Craib

Wheel Nut:

I had seen one of these pictures before and remember an argument about “sand tyres” in the Wheelhouse or the Albion :stuck_out_tongue: I knew they had some and so did the bloke who this other kid was arguing with. I think it was a wind up that got a little serious.

Whereabouts were Willhire from?

Does anybody know if one of the original Scania’s 140/141 from Astran still excist?
What about these two for example?
I know there is a replica but what happened whit all of the originals.
Sorry for my English.

greetings Peter from the Netherlands

Hi Peter, Willhire were from Barton Mills in Suffolk , ran by (originally) a very nice bloke called Roger Williams.i met Roger and some of his staff in Istanbul once when he had gone down there to recover or at least try to recover some dumped trucks , if i remember correctly he bought a Volvo F89 to recover these trailers. We had a good couple of night in Istanbul before we left to continue our journeys and myself and Roy Jackman had an invite to go to the party that Roger was giving at Mildenhall , but the job being what it was / is we didnt get there. I was promised a copy of the film that Roger took but it must have got lost in the post!
