Scandinavia Emissions

Can I take a euro 2 truck to Scandinavia with a LEZ euro3 emissions cert?
Many Thanks
Steve.

There has been no posting of problems for EURO 3 going
to Scandinavia country only the rules that they have for winter
as regards tyres and snow chains, have a look through all the
euro stickys i have posted a few sites from NORWAY etc
plus read about the rules for snow chains as there is a post
in there about winter tyres as well

TransAm sent a T reg Daf XF to Sweden a yr or 2 ago, and theres plenty of 143’s still running about up there, so i imagine you will be fine.

you may find there are restrictions getting into the centre of major Cities, but I can’t remeber what you have to do to get round that… I would talk to the companys you are delivering to and ask about restrictions

I have some faint thoughts about Stockholm or Oslo having some restrictions, but I’m not sure about that. Apart from that there shouldn’t be any restrictions and you definitely can run practically everywhere in Sweden and Finland with Euro 2 motor (not sure about Norway though, but I’d suppose so). Also like was said, there are plenty of 143’s still around earning their keep.

Would this be a similar scheme to the German Unwelt Zones, of almost all German cities do you know?

For the German scheme, you apply for a Euro Rate sticker to put in your windscreen which has your reg’ on it. If you go to the admin’ office in person, with your vehicle docs, they’ll give you the sticker. There’s a small admin fee if you apply in writing.

My boss did it on-line, I believe, it cost €5 a sticker that way too.
A lot of money for a little bit of printed sticky back plastic, but a lot less than the €250 fine for being caught in an Umwelt Zone without one.
Seems my memory is playing tricks on me, I was fairly sure they gave them to you. Obviously not :frowning:

The price seems to vary for the UnWelt zones, my last sticker cost 12.50 euro, through TUV in Germany Where can you do it on line as I thought you had to send a copy of the V5 for verification.

Paul

no restrictions whatsoever regarding emissions and even the limits for 25.25m combinations are few and far between, nevermind a regular artic or wagon and drag

There are various sites like THIS where you can order the sticker online, but it will cost you (24€ at this site)

Much easier to check out the list of TÜV Stations HERE (rollover the map and click on a Land) and bowl up to one when you are passing.
Show the vehicle registration document, pay your 5€, and you should be on your way in a couple of minutes.

Simples
