Chris Hill of ‘Hill’s of Botley’ came in today with this pic an early Crusader with an unusual grill!

Nice pic, think theres another one in the thread with what looked like the same grill

Bass Charringtons (i think).

Bass Charrington, yes, there used to be a Scammell advert in Commercial Motor years ago had 3 pics of different Crusader’s & 1 of them was Bass, it was a double drive/6 wheeler tractor if I remember right?

Found on the Internet, a Crusader playing it’s part in recovering a trolleybus from Johannesburgh:

Hi, i see the wrecker is still wearing its REME badge. Great trucks built like the proverbial S House.Nothing like them made in the UK now.

Sad part is that not only is nothing built like them now in the UK, nothing is built at all now in the UK!!!

Don’t think this one’s been shown before, but hey, it’s a Crusader, so it won’t hurt to see it again if it has!

Hope no one’s offended but i borrowed these from a car website - apologies if already posted

Taken at a drag race meeting at York raceways, always used to attract the trucks, Scholey’s IIRC were always there

The Crusader had a great look, I always thought it would have looked equally at home on Route 66 as it did on the A66!

A proper working truck (pinched this pic from facebook), now being restored:

Thats great, J.R.Adams ran quite a few of these, this might have been one of the first sleeper cabs they got. A pal of mine drove this one WTN 208T. Im sure when I tell him he will be pleased, Regards Larry

Good old British clogger!

So what’s happened to the last 15 years of input on this thread. It keeps defaulting to Aug 2010 FFS. I want to add new material - what’s the ■■■■■■■ point if the system doesn’t work?

It seems to be fine my end, mate. :+1:
