the ghost:
TLC European., Snodland, Kent Had it from new done all the work etc…,
No idea if they still have it or if its been sold on.
the pics above show the TLC logon on bottom of the passenger door, perhaps that may well give an indication on ownership
A bit of a thread necro, but “TLC” stood for “Trailer Load of Cannabis” and the owner was sent to prison for four years when he was caught with a trailer load of cannabis at Dover. The bloke I am working for has the Thunderbirds truck which he bought at a Customs and Excise auction.
I also know that the paint jobs were £12,000 each.
Just wondered if anyone knew who operated this truck. Looks very smart!
I have seen it at truckfest before but dont know the company. I took the photos in Cambridge services.
I don’t have a problem with people doing airbrushed themes on their trucks…but I remember watching Stingray as a kid in the 60’s, doesn’t that make the theme a little dated?? …and me too?
they had three of them done, one in Stingray, one in Captain Scarlett and the third one was Thunderbirds.
I believe that they have sold one of them, but not sure which one.
Anyway, if you was close enough to take a photo of the driver reversing into a parking slot, why didn’t you go speak to him and ask him whos’ truck it is?
not to be argumentative like, just curious as to why you are asking on here instead of the driver who is pictured in the cab
Mr Vain, no it wasn’t meant to be strong just my opinon, I honestly don’t think they make a truck look better, but yeah live and let live by all means.
By the way did I see you on the A14 J2 about 11.45 on Thursday heading east.
paul mc:
i think the 3 they got airbrush all look s**t they look a 8 year old done them
but horses for courses
I tend to agree with you paul trouble is people get so used to seeing other airbrush work done by just 2 or 3 of the same names and some people think their work is up to the same standards but when you see the 'Stingray ’ up close you just have to turn away - And hope they will get better with experience, Sadly some never do
