Great photos. Thus breakdown one reminded me of my time in India. This was a common sight, even at night on main roads with no warning lights. Really suicidal.

Seen it done over here too in the past…
Replace India or France for any Eastern Europe country… seen them doing complete renovations standing alongside the road… proper mechanics though…

I remember such a scene some 30 years ago near Bourges, when a Berliet GLM 12 had its engine changed on a small car park. The red Lohéac (probably one of the last still on the road) is operated by Tps Piernas in Lodève (near Montpellier), which run many unusual trucks, including a Kenworth or Peterbilt 6x4.
Couple of weeks ago I undertook a trip to Viane(81), was a first for me, and what surprised me was that the permit took me all the way down to Beziers, Narbonne, Carcassonne, Castelnaudary (pays Cathare anyone…) Revel, Castres and Realmont before the actual “fun” started…
Had a day off as well due to a bank holiday, so walked around for a bit and spotted some restoration projects…
Still earning their keep…
I’ve spotted that Praha in, as you would suspect, the Czech republic this week
