The thread died when it was realised that there were more applications for testers in the QC department than there were likely to be customers.
Posted today on a Merchant Navy forum I belong to it shows a movement in the Harland and Wolff shipyard in Belfast in the 1960’s, doubtless from the fabrication shop to the fitting out berth of a chimney ready to be plonked on a smart new Texaco tanker.
