Bonnets…must have been something to have driven one of these old girls with a huge bonnet out in front…
Blimey, there is a whole host of remarkable wagons on this page. Near the top, is that a normal-width Tractomas? I never knew they existed- the ones I have seen were all 3m(?)-wide jobs, with the “walkway” around the cab.
Edit- having looked at it, I find that there are three widths of Tractomas- the ones in GB seem to be exclusively the full-width version.

This one is French, and I THINK it works inside a big factor complex, not on the road, however, I may be wrong ( I usually am !!! ). somewhere I may have some more pic’s of her working…

Thanks for inquiring about what remains a mysterious truck! Here’s a picture of a Berliet GDM 10, fitted with the same cab, bonnet and grille than the TDM. The angle of this picture is similar to the one of the mysterious Belgian truck and, if the two cabs are very close in matter of style, many differences show that they’re not similar. Even the radiator grille is not the same; just a matter of small details like the crank hole.I’d really want to find the truth…
Not from the same side nor angle but herewith a side-picture of a Denonville Diesel.
This looks like quite a recent photo. Is the 141 still in use?
I too am interested in the heavies. I have Patrick to blame, er I mean thank for that.
I can think of a few things I would rather spend 1.7 million euros on. But I suppose each person has different priorities for their money…

See the comment I’ve made a bit earlier…
Still in use at the ALSTOM works in Belfort, well it was since I was there some time ago anyway, they use it as a shunter… was the previous owner EDF perchance? Does seem to have the same livery…?

The photos of the two TLRs look recent. Are those vehicles in preservation? I hope so- that yellow one looks beautiful.

Maybe Krupp for the first one, withe the lady & baby?
Concerning long bonnets, I was regularly asked to drive this Berliet GBH 260 some 20 years ago, fitted with a ghastly cable-operated roll-on/roll-off skip. Shortly afterwards, it was shipped to Nigeria.
I also drove a Renault CLM 340 similar to this one for 10 days. A most uncomfortable truck, very shaky, and I guess it also was shipped to Africa for a second life…

Looks very similar to a Latil,
Saviem-Latil.

Well, it appears the mystery truck is neither a Denonville, neither a Berliet. I’ll put my best detectives on that clue…

Yes Anorak, they’re both on the preservation scene, as are these beautiful beasts…

Export markets liked Leyland. They did not trust stuff made in London, so Leyland Group products made in the Southern subregions were badged Leyland.
