Hi Johnnie, sent you a pm…

About 15 years ago I bought a small tarp at a car boot sale in Cornwall, it was folded up and tied with some old rope. It got chucked in the shed, shipped to France, chucked in the shed, that was 13 years ago…the other day when I needed one to put over some logs I remembered it…dug it out …opened it up…anyone remember them ? hope they don’t want it back…

Nice ones mate, cheers!

Now, is that Brame P outfit still being used? Pic looks quite recent…?

As does that Cayon unit…never knew they’d done tilt work as well, so cheers for proving me wrong Michel

Cheers, Patrick

RIP Saviem I have enjoyed reading your posts.

This is sad news indeed. John brought incalculable riches to this forum both in his incredible breadth of knowledge and in the way rode above any ‘issues’ with gentlemanly tact. I only met him once - a privilege. May he rest in peace. Our thoughts will be with his family this week. Robert

Sad news, rip Saviem.

So sad, I hope this thread keeps going in his memory. :frowning: :frowning:

We owe it to John to keep this thread going.

The man upstairs has just taken one of the very best, an absolute gentleman, a gentle man, and a good friend …R.I.P. John…my thoughts are with both Norah and Anne Marie at this time…

We’ll make sure that this thread keeps going in Johns memory…

Fergie

Tragic news indeed…

John will be dearly missed, a true Gent with an encredible amount of knowledge about the industry. It was an absolute privilege to have been a part of his thread, I was always looking forward to his replies and witty answers…

Thank you very much indeed Monsieur Saviem, hopefully we’ll meet again one day…

My deepest condolences to his loved ones.

Patrick

We have lost a true gent who will be missed. A major contributor on this thread with an amazing memory. RIP John Goodried

Can not comprehend not having Saviems input on this thread after his passing, rarely not on page one just says it all to me so popular was his contributions with not only a mass of information shared with us all but all the anecdotes about the people he dealt with that he knew personally in the Industry over his working life.
We have lost a great contributor and here was a man that should have written a book, it would have been a great read but alas this was not the case but through TNUK we have all enjoyed his memories of a very full life. Still busy day to day although retired from active farming still helped out at busy times with his various passions weather his animals, old trucks and the like ending the day on the computer sharing this all with us.
Fergie is right we should try and keep this thread going in John’s memory although it wont be the same without his vast knowledge but at least we should give it our best shot, once again condolences to all his family we have lost a good man, Buzzer.

I have posted separately about John’s sad passing, but I agree that this thread should continue in his memory. It would also be fitting if there is some means of collating John’s invaluable reminiscences and contributions into a separate reference forum that is locked from other contributors’ input, but it would be there for posterity for all to read. Maybe the administrators and moderators could investigate this idea?
