I know i Know. But this is not that sort of question. The expensive truck satnavs Tomtom, Pronav etc avoid weight restrictions etc. but do they avoid narrow roads without width restrictions . In other words do they still route down narrow residential streets instead of taking you to the next major road junction.

Yes, my Snooper/Sally the Satnav has taken me down some lovely scenic lanes & residential streets complete with the obligatory cars double parked & parked on corners, been Great Fun at times & a little stressful, especially when its Sprog Fetch Time ! Lol.
Moral is- don’t rely on it totally, if it looks iffy it probably is iffy !
