Satellite Dish at Unit 41, Wakefield

Hi,

I was leaving work last night and saw a great big satellite dish fixed to the mirror of some telly addict’s cab. It looked great! Is this something a lot of you trampers do? I figured that if I ever have regular nights out, I’d settle for DVD’s or DIVX movies or, if I fancied live TV, I’d stream via Sky Go or Catchup TV.

I suppose reading a book or getting some sleep are options too.

There are always lots of great-looking trucks parked up at night at Unit 41 Industrial Estate, Wakefield, and I wonder if you guys are happy in your jobs/cabs…and what you’re doing in there. I never see any hookers prowling. Is that coz they’re in the cabs already?

My mates got a really good set up for watching russian tv, work made him a bracket so the dish hoods on then he can move it about to get signal, also has alittle box that tells him how strong the signal is, ive sat and had a beer with him watching the russians take on xfactor lol.

Gave up trying to get tv signal with antennas years ago, now have automatic dish on roof and sky box. :smiley:
The only thing that hampers viewing is stong winds.

yorkshire terrier, I currently work in an office, nothing to do with transport, just before Fyffes and Coca-Cola. I’d be very interested to hear who you work for at weekends because I am looking for Class 2 weekend work myself. Maybe you know of something?

yes thats right i work for downton,i dont work weekends just park my truck there on a weekend and the odd day im home through the week.
if i hear off any weekend class two work going il give you a shout if you had class one id be able to get you a bit of saturday work with us.
