can anyone tell whitch sat nav is the best for the job, tom tom, garmin etc
I’ve tried a few and in my opinion you can’t beat a TomTom One.
Cheap- £150, maybe a little less, easy to use, easy to load POIs onto including low bridges etc, never let me down although as with all SatNavs you should never ever allow it to override your common sense. If you don’t feel 100% happy going where it tells you to go, don’t make that turn!
Sorry your thread got shunted here by the way, it seemed a perfectly reasonable thing for a truck driver to ask of his fellow drivers on the PDF but certain people don’t seem to realise that working drivers don’t have time to check out all of the niche forums.
Especially the forum that only people with an interest in, and knowledge of computers and technology, rather than driving an actual truck, read.
So it’s just me, you and the tumbleweed here I’m afraid

There it goes
at the moment I’d go for copilot7 as hgv specific data will be available for this
also consider one of the new vdo units due t be released as this also will be updateable with the hgv data and I’ve seen the prototypes in action
