hi, got offered a navman f10 for £25 still under warranty, never really fancied one, but gave it a chance, i was mildly impressed.
but can anyone tell me if you can expand the memory and download bridges or weight limits,( thats just a thought, cos confidence can be damaging),
if not i,ll just keep my maps,
oh and keep it simple, i,ve got a class 1 in technophobia,
accept all, yet deny all.
Hi yungnad
I have a F20 its the same as your’s but with Euro mapping.
To update the map you need to buy them from Navman as they have a map code linking to the actual unit .
As for adding bridges and stuff its a bit of a chore tbh,
First off you need to download the poi, thats the easy bit , get them here
www.trucknav.napalmfiles.com/
then you need to convert them to cvs files using
www.poiedit.com/downloads.htm
Then after that , you will need the Navman conectivity suit to upload them, You can buy this also from Navman (£15), or you can find it on the web
Like i said its a bit of a polava but it can be done, of if you are local to me get the beer in and and give me 10 minutes with the f10 and i would sort it
hi, thanks for that gerryt, i,ll keep the links, as i was thinking of getting a usb lead, buuut if i get a night out in brum, i may just look you up. thanks yungnad
No worries m8
And for all you lads and lasses with a Garmin unit if you follow the first 2 steps
above and then download the garmin poi loader from the garmin site (its free)
www.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=927
all the poi will go on too
Just thought i would mention that incase it helps anyone else while i was at it
Knew I should have got the Garmin!
