Sat nav placement

I wasn’t happy with a bloody great sat nav stuck miles away on my window or smack bang in the middle top of my dash, I think this is a good compromise :sunglasses:
Solid as a rock and keeps the wires tidy.

Certainly you have to keep it tidy if you got 57 sat navs… :laughing: :laughing:

I’ve tried to put mine in the same place, but the surface is too rough so no good for the suction cup. How have you actually secured this?

Do you not find it too distracting that close to the wheel?

I often fix mine to the door window,its not within the wiper sweep ,but have to unplug it before opening the door.

Sold 56 of them for £50 each, went like hot cakes :stuck_out_tongue:
It’s a good 18" away from the wheel not at all distracting and not blocking any of the view out the windscreen.
I bought one of these slide out mounts a few years ago for my 5150, I just used m3 sticky pads under it, it’s more solid now than when it was sat on the dash.

Used to do something similar with my Go510 in the Actros MP2, it also has the added bonus of some scrote not seeing it on display and trying to stick his arm through the open window and run off with it. Apparently that was a thing at one time (maybe it still is I dunno) cars or vans whatever sat in traffic with the drivers window down and someone reaching in and grabbing it off the windshield as fast as lightning, before you realise what was going on the little barsteward was 50yds down the road and you were just sat there still stuck in traffic.
