Do pigs fly?

I heard that a compnay were in the process of developing one one just for HGV’s.
Snooper do one that they market as Comercial vehicle assist DON’T BUY ONE is is NOT truck freindly, I have one and it is total pants, no more truck assist than any other sat nav, Snooper customer services are as much use as a chocolate firegaurd they are not interested once they have your money.

In the same way you don’t need a specific map/atlas for navigation purposes while driving a truck doing general type haulage, you don’t need a specific electronic map/atlas either. Just use a SatNav for its mapping capabilities and use the MK1 eyeball for spotting signs warning of potential problems and restrictions for larger vehicles.

I brought a sat nav from maplins in the week made by Binatone and its got a setting in the menu for commercial van.
tried it on my way home and on the commercial setting it was a different route to when I tried it on the normal setting as on that setting it was using more side roads while on hte commercial setting it was geared up more for main roads

there is one available from vdo daytona has truck specific maps but i dont think its cheep th mapping isnt full coverage either as yet

Does this charge from a 24volt socket or is it 12volt only? I’ve found 1 at a good price but my truck only has 24volt

I have had mine a week and it’s the best Sat Nav I have ever had…
