Why is it that no matter which lorry I drive, no sat nav wants to stick to the windscreen properly. It’s extremely annoying if you’re trying to follow the ■■■■ thing and it falls off the [zb] windscreen. Never seems to be a problem if I use it in a car… Any ideas?
I bought a new holder for my sat nav the other day and it came with a big pack of alcohol wipes.
I’ve always had the problem of them not sticking to the windscreen but I have tried wiping the glass with one of these wipes first and it does seem to make quite a difference to the security of it.
Might be worth giving it a go, just cleaning the area of screen reallly thoroughly before you stick it on?
mines has never fell off the window, and ive got the big snooper s7000 which is like a 7" screen so its rather large
A little bit of spit is all I use n I really have that problem
Don’t use sat nav much anymore same runs all the time, no need for it. But when i did - i used velcro, it kept those disgusting marks off the screen. But thats only if you have the same truck all the time.
That’s the thing with me being agency, different truck all the time! Where can I get some alcohol wipes then?
All you need is a pack of baby wipes, one product, many uses
Lick the back of the sucker pad. It makes it stick and is less embarressing than licking the window

use super glue, which is fine till you come to remove the suction cup at the end of the day

Try a blob of man glue
Doesnt work…(apparently)
Trouble is, man glue doesnt set fast enough!
now BOGEYS?! they set like stone in seconds
Soak the suction cup in hot water from time to time, it returns the cup to its original shape.
Drill a small hole through the holder and the windscreen…and use a small screw to attach it…
well, you did ask for it.
lol Looks like I need to get myself some baby wipes then. Have tried the old spitting on it thing, doesn’t seem to work…
