SAT NAV Error

I found some pictures on my lappy (clearing disk space) from a couple of years ago. Sat Nav error fun, Artic got stuck outside our house. For 3 days. :open_mouth:

Setting the scene, as you exit the A40 near our little spot of heaven, the road narrows quickly to a typical residential street, with a sharp 90 degree left hand bend. 30mph signage, plus two of these bad boys:

200 yds later, the road narrows to one lane, with lots of overhanging trees, and steepens down a windy typical cotswold hill scene…:

Now by now, I would have stopped, reversed and retreated. But nope. Matey boy presses on to just beyoned the garage with the red door, decides to turn into a soft field entrance to do a three point turn and promptly gets bogged.

3 days laters, after three failed recovery attempts, our lodger leaves.

Fairly common (or was) on that lane as it runs parallel to the high street (A361) only 200 yds distant. Driver said as much too.

Perhaps sat nav interpretation error…

Rare to find a spaniard driving that ! Maybe he just wanted to go the pretty way!

Looks like Burford to me, even if you’re foreign, all the ā€œbig roadsā€ off the roundabout and driver takes the smallest. I can’t even think why a car sat nav would send you down Barns Lane as there’s no industry down there.

As I live in Murcia but mother trucker here in UK these Cerezuela guys are no longer Spanish but now Bulgarian as they have now gone down the pay scale and use them and usually with there Bulgarian units as well so all I can say is ā€œyou pay peanuts you get monkeysā€ but if he was Spanish perhaps he was a little ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  driving on the other side the road and fancied a single carridgeway!!! Por favour
