Wincanton bought them Pat,about 1994 (a guess). We inherited some at our Maltby depot for a few weeks.

Thats Atchinson- Topeka

I;m trying to find out which copy of ‘Truck’ magazine ran a feature about Santa Fe. It was probably late 84 or an issue from 1985 if anyone can let me know.

Many thanks, Dan.

I remember them years back.
Think you would always see one of their wagons somewhere (if that makes sence)

Was it mixed up with CAT?

Chard and Axminster Transport

I remember seeing lots of Santa Fe Express, mainly Scania’s, Ford Transcontinentals and Mercedes

I went into their yard one Christmas Eve to tip a load of steel plate ex Cruesot-Loire Always a swine of a load in a tilt. What a great crowd of drivers they were To a man they all got stuck in and buggered of and left me to strip out on my own.I shall always be gratefull.

Am I right in thinking they had a place at Cheltenham, seem to remember running down there on an evening out of Brownhills. Nice little number after a days work organizing!! if ya get my gist!
