i once stopped for my 45 at addinkerke( well the french side) en rout to calais one evening i got out checked my fridge temp got back to my truck was looking at my a to z were i was delivering to and witnessed a crs mini bus pull in wake up a driver sign his tacho and notes and throw in the bacck of his trailer 5 imigrants and sent him on his way from that day to this i have never stopped anywere near calais the french arnt intresded its was obviouse realy france is a big country why did they build there only refugee camp at sangatte in the begining they created the mess at calais and other ports in northern france as they dont want them there

Unless it was a training exercise, they didn’t mess about when they napalmed the jungle recently.

The CRS are carrying out daily raids on Africa House and the areas around Calais 
for the best part of 10 years this has been a problem
it starts mainly in patras greece then italy then france belgium and holland none of these countries give a flying [zb] they dont want them but have to be seen to do something if you have been regular over the water as i have you would no little if nothing gets done■■? why is our imigration on french soil doin the job the french should be doing i tell ya why they carnt be bothered and carnt be trusted to do it

I have been over a couple of times and someone told me that they have French customs officers in Folkstone occasionally, so we reciprocate in Coquelles and Calais with our own border control

Or it’s because having done border and passport controls before boarding the train you can just crack on when you get to England without having to stop or be shepherded into a control area, thereby saving time. It’s quicker to do it before boarding than it is after disembarkation. Same reason why there is an area in the Folkestone terminal for the French to carry out controls, allow they don’t use it very often, and you can just start running as soon as you leave the train in France.
