How do I get webcam to work on my Samsung N130 netbook, its only 6 months old and never worked from new which is ok with me but the wife■■?

There will probably be a program in the start menu that will get the thing working. Have you gone through every entry in the start menu?
Or, if you can get the software working does it not detect the camera?
You might be able to access it by opening ‘my computer’ and if it lists it there then to try clicking on it or double clicking on it…

Have tried those things but a window opens and says “there is no camera detected” but thanks anyway.
Had a look around the web but there doesn’t seem to be much decisive out there apart from MSN messenger causing problems. It might be easier just to go out and get a cheapo webcam and plug that into the USB.
Don’t do much with webcams myself, leave well alone

yeah it is still in warranty but just want to know if theres an easier way to get it working rather than sending it back
what operating system have you got?
is there any webcam software on your pc?
Does the webcam show up in device manager? (go to start, control panel, device manager, then look for imaging devices and click it and see if there is a webcam shwoing

thanks for reply but as i see it the webcam is in the programmes installed but nothing showing on my computer or device manager so am at a dead loss, think the mrs will have to do with seeing me once a fortnight,anyway thanks for the reply…
