you have this big warehouse.when you get there you have to hand your keys in.the room you go in that i think is the drivers room.my third bedroom in my house is bigger than that.then you have four hard seat with table then you have four soft seats the best thing is the tv.how i see it if you hand your keys in why do they still make you wait in a room that has no comfort at all.when i could be in my cab in comfort go to sleep if i want eat my own food that will not cost a lot.now i had a container it took three hours to tip you can think how i felt.you do not get treated like this in europe i am only on english work because work is slow in europe
Why not ask the person that decided to move his truck from a bay when it was still being unloaded or the person that did hand they keys in, sat in his cab and released the handbrake resulting in the vehicle moving off dock?
These systems were put in place because something like that happened and I for one wouldn’t want to be the person that happened to be travelling from the warehouse onto the lorry as it moved from the bay!
not always the drivers fault
That room there is pokey Some JS depots will let you drop the trailer if you ask.

that second video is FAF
why don’t they have them wheel locks or padlocks that go on the air line.you still hand your keys in.and i just don’t understand why would a driver release his hand brake only a think driver who would do that just don’t get it.when i am on a bay and i get the green light i still go and have a look just to make sure that the bay door is closed.if you want out for a meal you are treated like gods but derliver to a supermarket warehouse’s you are a no body.i don’t mind sitting in a room as long there is comfort, food, drink,tv but to be in a room for three hours is not good.
A lot of places I’ve seen on the continent use ground based wheel lock systems on their unloading bays. I cant’ say I’ve ever seen such a thing in the UK.
i have turned up at some places in europe flip flops shorts and no hi viz and shirt.and when they have a ■■■ they don’t go down the road just open the dock door and have one.

I think you’ll find that he normally does Europe work, but as most of the lazy snail & garlic munchers are on holiday for a month he has to cover UK work. Our firm is the same, most of the “over the water” drivers are scratching for work…
Here we go lol.
Hey, I didn’t accuse him of being a foreign driver stealing our work…
I’m gonna keep quiet before i get banned.

I think there was something like that at Costco Lutterworth, when I went there about 8 years ago.
