Sainsburys Basingstoke

Anyone on here work for Sainsbury’s at Basingstoke, not on agency, actually employed by Sainsburys??

Thinking of applying but wondering what their rota is like & actual earnings are??

Advert says 4 out of 7 days for £40k based on average 10.5 hr shift.

Go in there via Corr agency, rather than direct, I’d humbly suggest…

Tbh I’d rather stay where I am than go agency.

With agency you get the chance to try the job out without committing, to see what shifts you like out of what shifts are actually available.

If you go full time, and the job is anywhere short of expectations - you’ll not be sticking it the moment something happens that goes against your personal grain, such as being told “Hello Newbie - You’re working across next weekend on nights as part of your any five from seven full time contract with us…”

You’ve then got the choice of knuckling under, or walking, possibly having the cost of your new uniform being deducted from your first (and only…) full month’s pay…

Oh, I forgot - you don’t have to leave the place you are currently working at to pick up a couple of shifts per week at anywhere via agency…

You of course will be expected to burn your bridges and quit your current job - before performing your first shift in your new full time contract, should you go for “direct employment”…

“Try before you buy” is the suggestion here.

Being permanent isn’t exactly a shackle around the ankles either you know, Winseer? People are free to walk and try out other jobs too, then move on again and again etc
