Apparently the chickens were coming up too small, so my load which was meant to be gone out of the yard at 9pm went out at half 2

Don’t leave engine running at gatehouse and don’t leave truck in queue - wait til you get to barrier. Usually quick tip esp January! You will get map and instruction sheet at gatehouse if you explain first visit. Lock on dock procedures - remove keys from ignition and hang on clip alongside dock - they will reappear when dock light turns green. No access to canteen but you can get coffee 20p in drivers book on room by traffic office.
Easiest to come off J26/M25 and back that way. Go to J26 cafe for best bacon buttie ever!
You do have access to the canteen. Just ask any member of staff for directions.
How do you get through the swipe card operated door at the top of the staircase that leads along the long corridor to the canteen? If a member of staff allows you through the’re in bother.
As I’ve said, ask a member of staff and they should let you in the canteen.

the door is now unlocked and does not need a swipe card and never will be due to the amount of drivers waiting around for hours on end and askin i need to use your canteen cus i been here hours on end and ive got no food ,so the security has left the door unswipable! all thanks to me for annoying them for 4 days on the trot!kerching

I go there quite regular with chill and have never had a problem, always out in under an hour. Been late quite a few times as well but never been a problem (never 5 hours though!)

this is sainsburys place in the 20/20 business park? if so any time i have been going there its a drop one trailer lift another pretty qucik as well usually in and out in 25mins if the trailer thats being lifted is ready. takes a while at the gate though with mohamed and his mate explaining to you how to yous the padlock for the airline lol
Definitely another site. Waltham Point is the only Sainsburys site I go to that they refuse trailer swaps. Apparently they are fed up of other sites “offloading their bad trailers to them”… It’s common occurrence this at WP, and bad because the drop & swap is meant to be a national deal. Every other RDC has no problem with it.
