I dont know Jammy, ive been lucky re: safeways and aint actually ever had to go there!

i know that corby chilled dont break down at safeways anymore jammy. from the 1st of june i think. i`ve done welwyn once for them, they seemed ok.
come off the A1M at j6 and follow the A1000 till you get to the one way bit and black fan rd is off there, its the B195 and safeway are on the right as you go down there
The route I prefer is to come off the A1 at the A414 and then follow the A414 towards Hertford. You then come in on the B195 from the South-east.
A roundabout, then two mini-roundabouts and the RDC is on the left, and avoids going through the town.
That is by far the best way to go,just take care on the oldings corner roundabout,road works.
(my home town) 
Oh yea the map shows where the safeway store is and not the distibution depo,you need to carry on past the store and over the mini roundabout,junction with the ridgeway.
The depo is first on your left after the roundabout

Safeway, Welwyn Garden City is probably the best RDC in the country ! Never been in there longer than an hour and they’ve got loads of facilities for drivers. It’s a pity Tamworth, Warrington, Aylesford and Bristol aren’t the same !!!
