I am a black male driver, I spend nights out parked in laybys and industrial estates (the quieter the better) I have never been worried about being on my own or unwanted visitors/derv stealers…
Sometimes I even forget to lock my doors!
People keep asking me am I not worried about staying out on my?!
Should I be■■?
Do I really need to carry protection (god knows what)■■?!
Or am I just blissfully naive?!
As far as I’m concerned I’m happy and not bothered parked up for the night, curtains drawn.

does it matter, if the opening subject is female, black, honky, white, jewish etc. The fact certain people are classified initially makes it a problem.

Back to the point of the topic.
I have never felt unsafe in a lorry on an overnight. I have as a general rule parked in MSA’s (which I believe are as safe as you can be). But on the times I have had no choice, I park in a well lit street usually where other lorries are parked. I think that if you are sensible about where you park then you should have very little to worry about.
If your load is stolen or damaged or fuel nicked… and you are unharmed… then it’s for the insurance and police to deal with. I don’t lose sleep over whether I will have the same load / fuel on as when I went to sleep.
Admittedly I am 6ft 4 and well built, and maybe I am naive. But life is too short to worry about what might happen.

At last someone has come up with the required response, last seen on a car sticker circa 1980. Most people presumably die in bed (in a hospital) so it’s statistically safer out on the road! (Though I do suppose even fewer people die on the pavement (British usage)).
If you is black and on a night out, just keep your eyes and gob closed and no one can see you, rasclart.
