Yesterday I walked to a nearby junction heading to a industrial estate to test if temperature was cold enough to get good photos. I suspected it wouldn’t be, which was right assumption, but I thought I could still share some shoots with you:
This artic and rigid behind came to this junction while I was walking towards it so this is very much point and shoot shot. Despite it, I think it clearly shows how dirty job hauling various foodstuffs with fridge can be.
This Estonian artic followed soon after the previous picture, but regrettable he either wasn’t loaded heavy enough
Fancy doing supermarket multidrop with this?
Decent looking tipper with exhaust-heated tipper body.
This company hauls various scrap materials to be recycled.
Hauling foodstuffs between factories and RDC’s obviously isn’t as dirty with rigid and A-frame trailer as it is with artic.
Empty Sisu tipper heading to a building zone to get a load.
Warning! High speed tipper cornering!
Apart from engine power, quite ordinary sight in general haulage.
Only a small warm cloud coming from this rigids exhaust pipe.
Finally I got some luck! Heavy load and slow speed!
These two pictures were about the best I could get as most other lorries weren’t loaded heavy enough to emit enough moisture at this high temperature. About the last artic, somebody had written “Tvättä mig” with finger on the curtain (not visible in these pics), which I found greatly amusing as that Swedish text translates to “Wash me”
Dave the Renegade:
Hi Kyrbo,
Great set of pics, nice to see some from a different country.
Cheers Dave.
yep, and without stranded vehicles and pandemonium like here with the same amount of ‘snow’ on the roads
Actually I think that many parts of UK currently have more or at least same amount of snow than in entire southern half of Finland, or at least that’s what I’ve understood from local media. There’s maybe about 5 cm of snow here in Tampere and I’ve understood that this same Siberian air bringing us the -20C or so temperatures has brought you something like 10 or 15+ cm of snow
Joshh:
Cracking photo’s, can you get some more up that you have taken.
Well, here you are, few night time shot from Friday evening:
I saw the Light!
Wagon&drag pulling up on a light incline which turned practically into a sheet of ice couple hours earlier when temperature rose about 10C in a matter of hours.
Now I think I’m going to run away. No more pictures today, sorry
