The Sarge:
It’s still complicated, but it pays my bills - and around 120 other drivers’ bills too
I remember it being dependent on what time you left the yard, whether you were going to Italy or Germany etc, etc.

A large part of it was made up by a percentage of what the truck earns…at the mercy of the planners etc

Do you not fancy s&k Vern ?
No mate…I get plenty of nights out and foreign stuff where I’m at.
Any info on this co. please (international side)
I’ve tried the search button, but to no avail
Thanks
When i was doing euro way back they was commonly known as Skint and Knackered
, i remember them when i was doing italy and they always had underpowered mercs with the smallest cabs, but seriously i dont know what there like these days
Try this:
cheers hombre already done that
just wondered if anyone knows the craic’ on there!!
time away no probs
pay?
I believe they don’t get paid when they are weekended but if you can put up with that then they do quite a variety of long distance euro work.
anyone know the take home pay inc. n/out?
usually salaried on this type of work
try pm’ing malcolmj he did 6 weeks on there.
try grantjay on truckersworld but dont expect to much from him cos he dont see home much.
try reef on here he did a day for them.

They were advertising a couple of years ago paying around £660p/w. I phoned up and the fella said they need drivers to be away for 6 weeks. Also he explained the wage structure and it was all bonus this and bonus that, the actual basic was quite crap. I politely declined. Not just because of the wages, but the 6 weeks was a bit much for me. The motors are all low cab FH’s with the odd globetrotter thrown in, and most of them still go over the water.
I’m not saying don’t go for it, if thats what you fancy carry on. I’ve never actually worked there so i can’t comment first hand but there’s a lot of blokes in south Wales who wouldn’t go within a mile of them.
cheers for that lads, not sure now

Give them a ring. A phone call won’t hurt. Things may have changed since i last spoke to them.
from what i remember of my 6 weeks and i only left because the job im at now came up,at the interview YOU tell them what weeks your willing to do
i offered to do two weekends away and home for the 3rd which they kept too
the job is dead easy no rush you think the phone must be broke!!
the trucks are well looked after but you only have a little 6 foot hose pipe to wash it with but you do get a fiver for doing it
you will get a globetrotter 420 about 4 or 5 years old if you will do weekends/long haul
the old flat tops only go as far as belgium just the other side of mons
and the money i honestly cannot remember it now i have tried to fins an old payslip
if weekended you do get a little extra but try to run on a sat morning even for an hour or two it all adds up
i think i av. about £420 take home but the work is easy and there is no off the card tipping etc
Id go back if the job im in now went ■■■■ up and couldnt find anything better
And the craic in Campogalliano was always good, lashings of beer and bacon butties
there you go plenty of opions let us know how you get on
cheers for that lads i’ll ring them tom.
there’s one thing bugging me…
…i’m working at mo on uk boo…but do you think i’m mad changing jobs at this time with diesel going through roof and companies predicting themselves going down the pan by the end of the year

No. follow your dream, I always did and loved (almost) every minute of it.
Of course, if you have security and a family and mortgage to support you may take a different view. I put all those things off 'till later.
i gave CLAN int. Dover a ring cos they were advertising but the position was filled unfortunately
I’ve been weighing up my options and travelling to Barry from my home in the south east is not going to be viable, with petrol, severn toll
even if it is only every 3-4 weeks between trips
also £420 av. is a paycut and yes i’ve got commitments
and finally my current firm will organise my training for the CPC
so once i’ve got that…who knows
