estonian driver is driving with that Volvo !
they have about 10 trucks aweek in the uk doing traction work from harwich and felixstowe all estoinia drivers
There was a Rynart unit coming off the ferry at Poole yesterday morning with a De Rijke trailer.
I had a night with one of there estonian drivers in the services by the racetrack just north of madrid on N1 about 5 years ago. He spoke excellent english and we shared a couple of cervezas and swapped stories of life on the road although mine we’re no where near as exotic as his.
When I asked about the map on the side of the tilt he told me they regularly went to various parts of the former USSR as well as all over europe.
He said although the dutch drivers did the usal couple of weeks away the estonians did 5 months before having a month off.
I doubt they’ve got many dutch drivers left now and although at the time most units we’re on dutch plates they mostly seem to be on estonian or hungarian plates now.
When I used to see then around europe it has always pulling there own trailers but I’ve noticed quite a few doing traction around the M25.
Cheers
Neilf
They used to run from Klundert with 2 trailers into Rotterdam. The trucks in USSR were rigged with a convertor dolly to pull 2 x 40ft trailers.
Still a few Dutchmen driving for them, and an Englishman
cheers everybody ,for that info.
A word of warning when thinking about dealing with Rynart
Several years ago they closed their operations in Holland and opened in Estonia leaving many owner drivers and subbies high and dry and out of pocket.
At the same time Rynart started up again in its present form therefore the new company was not liable for debts incurred by the old company.
Ethics may have changed in the mean time but if the company is still in the same hands extreme caution is recommended.
