Hi Tiptop, I posted this elsewhere on the forum but I can’t find it, so here it is again:
It is a 1965 brochure, according to the site from which I borrowed it! Do you think that Volvo just altered the picture of a 495?
hallo Anorak, that picture on the brochure is a real 495 TipTop and one of the very first '64. you will see that on the big handles behind de doors and have a look down you don’t see an oil sump so a TD96 ( of course the picture is dark but look good and compare with other pictures of a real 88).And no grid on the right site, the picture is adapted to an 88 the emblem on the grille and look very good the emblem on the door F88 is at the front and that came only from '67 on. The first 88’s had it at the backside of the door.So the picture is a bit forged.Questions ask…
greetings Eric,
Unterflur:
Are these L315 and L334?
Both are real beauties!I would be interested to where you sold them. Germany?
Or are you the owner? It’s really amazing what you are able to find in greece, even today!
If you find some Büssings i would be very interested in pictures.
Two of them i found in 2008 during our truck-tour through the balkans and greece.
The BS16 was still in service!
Büssings are very hard to find today, even in greece. Thanks a lot for your pictures!
Hi Unterflur The trucks are 1954 L6600 and 1957 L329. I bought both because couldn’t be sold separately. They are in respectively good situation, especially the 329 but it has om 346 engine. They were working in a farm until last year.In the future i might sell one and restore the other, but for now there is another project going on. I just felt that i wouldn’t have the opportunity to find such items in the future.
Bussings are really rare here, but you never know!
The green body with three yellow stripes indicates that the truck is unregistered from circulation and is only permitted to work for transport agricultural products during the crop season. This law preserves lots of classic trucks.
Hi GR Diesels!
Congratulations for these!!
But are you sure with L6600■■
Normally this can’t be because the 6600 has two couplings(?) in the front bumper.
The 315 has only one.
Maybe it was rebuilt during it’s long life in greece!?
This is wired
Thanks for the informations about the color on the body.
Surely i didn’t knew this before.
I was wondering about all the green bodies on the trucks i saw in greece before.
Bye for now!

I thought too that there should be 2 couplings, and i had a look at the front section where there are no signs of modification. The old registration papers and the badge on the truck says it’s 6600.The truth is that you can never be 100% sure of what the factory offered as standard and optional between different markets.

Behind this poor pictures there is a great story an old man shared.
This truck sank a ship!!! in 1966 and more than 200 people lost. Heraklion as the vessel was named fell in a great storm as it was coming to Piraeus from Creta. This refrigerator truck break the chains , hit and break the ships side door and fell into the sea. Water came in and sank the vessel. The truck body as it was a refrigerator was waterproof, and kept the truck on surface. Winds led it to a near island where was picked and transported to Piraeus. The truck preserved until today as an evidence for the court.
Gr Diesels:
“Hybrid” 141
This looks grate SCANIA should release the 141/111 looking like this now it would be one i would buy bet it took some time and hard work to get the frount to look right
top pic thanks for posting love it
Mr. Gr Diesels, i really love your pictures!!
One of not too many BS 16L with the “Büssing + Sohn”-Cab made of wood and sheet.
There was nothing compareable in hole europe at that time for the drivers.
Enough space to go jogging between the seats and the noise of the engine was far, far away.
A few still exist in restored condition in germany.
Have to change my underwear, now!
Hi Gr Diesel amassing story about the ferry and the fridge truck !!!

They seem to be clay ovens on the back of that truck, maybe they moved them from the North in the 74 war,or are they mobile bakeries lol.
