Just to let anyone who ever met him know…Russell “pig” Jones passed away 21st February 2015 after a battle with cancer.
Sorry to hear that my dad worked with him on transcontinental in the early 90s.
One of those people in life you never forget meeting.
Russ, a Wrexham lad i last saw him in Ramsgate, really enjoyed your company and tales.
Worked with him in the midd 90’s pulling tanks round Benelux .
He once told me this , there’s two sorts of people in this world, doers and watchers and I’m a doer.
And he showed me what being a doer was all about.
Best memory of running with Russ was shipping into Poole new years 1995 and having to get one of the tug drivers to drive his lorry off he was in no fit state 
then sleeping for a day on the dock till he came round.
Also had an interesting weekend or two with him in St Paul’s Bristol,a character was Russ.

he was one of those people you never forget. He came back to Wrexham in the end and passed away peacefully at Nightingale House Hospice
He had a scar on his arm from fighting,he used to tell the grandkids it was a shark bite.
