i have noticed many threads about drivers out of time,and parking in a place where the police move them on and say i do not care about the tacho just move the truck out of the way,the police say.
and another example of when things need to be done.
you arrive at a place for loading in a far away land where they enjoy lots of holidays.
you get there at 3am friday and you’re out of time. they open at 8am, but they’ll be shut at midday, and not reopen until tuesday.
would you sit there until tuesday?
or go in with a magnet on, fuse pulled, or wire on to get loaded?

Yes, that does happen, and it’s happened to me - old bill cleared 4 of us parked in a layby to make room for an abnormal load.
Simple solution is, get the copper to Name/Rank/Number your card.
