Runaway lorry 8/9/13

"An 86 year old male pedestrian has been killed in Largs, Scotland, by a runaway lorry.

The accident happened in Waterside Street at about 1130 on Sunday 8/9/13.

Police said they believed the unoccupied HGV rolled down the street and struck a car, which then hit the man and trapped him.

Fire service personnel managed to free him but he died at the scene."

You reach the grand age of 86 and then this happens very sad and just proves the point you never know what’s around the corner.

Only just last month 2x old folk were killed there to. A lassie in a car stop on the main road and waved them to cross, car behind though she was stopping, and indicated to pull around her, I’m sure you can figure out the rest.

I agree. I check this every morning and quite a few of our units have defective buzzers. Probably haven’t worked for ages and no one reports it.
