Any tips, to get 45 hours off, i can start at 10.00 am tomorrow, it is about 430 miles driving, for a 9 am booking on Monday at Livingston from Bristol.
Do i start early and not get a 45 off, or start at 10.00 which would be a late finish , then get a 9 or 11 hour off ?
I have a 15 hour duty spare and can drive for 10 hours .
personally if it was me id have a 45 and start just after the 45 then have a 9off once you up near there just make sure you leave yourseld enough time to get there on time in morning

Remember that Livi. is between Glasgow and Edinburgh making it the most congested part of Scotland.
Parked up the 747, windscreen cracked due to a bird strike at 12,750 AGL in a VFR approach at BZN.
Got to Livi, but what the hell is all the road works South of Glasgow, diversion signs as much as a chocolate tea pot, ok if you know the area, if not, expect to get lost .
Will be good when its done, but miles of cones, like a bomb gone off and roads moved all over the place.

The roadworks are a total mess and adding an hour or so onto journeys in rush hour, looks as though its going to get worse over the next few weeks too! Will be glad when its eventually finished.
