UNTRR, Bucharest, has informed us that, due to heavy snowfalls, the Ministries of Transport, Construction and Tourism and of Administration and Internal Affairs have decided to ban the entry on Romanian territory to heavy vehicles of over 12 tons without adequate winter equipment (snow chains, shovels, sand, etc.) as from today 1st February 2005.
This ban is applied at the following border crossing points: Portile de Fier I, Bechet, Calafat, Giurgiu, Ostrov, Negru Voda, Vama Veche, Galati, Oancea, Albita, Sculeni.
