…If you drive to the speed limits, you get accused of “hanging it out”…
Stupid thing is, where does all that resentment come from, that doesn’t actually affect the daily working lives of others alongside?
Meanwhile, if you drive like a ■■■■■■ all day long, managers don’t seem to mind, your fellow colleagues don’t seem to mind.
Why give a second thought or even mildly care what these teararsing idiots who risk their licence to be the bosses favourite pet think ?
Of course the managers dont mind, they are being made to look good by these idiots, who will go like [zb] for a pat on the back.
I work alongside a few of these clowns, nothing is said to my face, which is surprising as I have made no secret of my contempt to these pricks to a couple of their faces.
Just do your job legally and efficiently and take no notice of what they say behind your back or to your face.
I save my tear arsing sessions for me only, like for a Saturday if I need to get home for something, or if I’m making for somewhere decent to overnight park…nothing else.
IF there were punishments meted out to managers when their errant favorite “face fits” buddies smash up the kit - I bet there would be a few more managers a bit more concerned who gets to keep on driving…!
I’ve seen drivers rip off tail lifts by pulling off the bay too fast… No action taken. Shunters losing a trailer sideways off the tug 5th wheel - no action taken, No HSE report made for “uncontrolled trailer movement”. I’ve lost count of the number of catwalk assemblies I’ve seen mashed up against the back of the cab - from under-running the 5th wheel whilst reversing under the pin…
…Meanwhile, others get routinely let go for WTD tacho infringements, going down the wrong (but legal) street, or even “following the sat nav” when the official route is closed off by a full road block…
I don’t think it is being “full time” that makes one’s job “safe” - instead, rather one’s face fitting. ANY number of sins can be forgiven you - if you play golf with the boss, belong to any same clubs as your fellows, and talk about 4-FFFFs rubbish (Football, Family, F…ing, and Ferraris) as “banter” instead of the more hot topics of Politics, Religion, and Betting Odds…

It seems remarkably easy to ■■■■ someone off these days, but very hard indeed to please them enough that they’d go on thinking they at least owe you some returned common decency in the future…
It isn’t so much “Anti Establishment” that is unpolar, but rather "Boat Rockers, Wave Makers, or even Whilstle Blowers.
…Ever heard of conditions improving sharply at the workplace thanks to a “whilstleblower” report put in?
…Or did you hear “Oh so and so got the bullet for walking on the cracks in the catwalk last week… Put a whistleblower report in they did, alleging manager embezzlement the week before he did, but he trusted the wrong area HR manager to entrust that report to, by the looks of it…”
