It’s mad, seeing someone trapped like that. Very rarely see people directly after the fact, makes you realise what the emergency services regularly have to deal with.

Luckily for the occupants of the car they weren’t shunted into the back of another wagon.
I passed a bad smack on the m5 back in the summer, I was on opposite carriageway when everything slowed to a crawl. It then occured to me why- lots of folk were slowing down to look over the centre res to look at the carnage. Us humans seem to have a strange perverted need to marvel and drool over someone elses missfortune, well some do anyway. 
Looking at the cars/trucks, this vid must be 20 years old.

Sure the rubber necker was stupid and ghoulish to slow down to look at an accident, but for the lorry driver not to have noticed means he was either rubbernecking himself or was grossly unaware of the traffic situation around him. Bad BAD lorry driver! Looking at the wreck it’s lucky he didn’t kill them.
■■■■■■ hell!!! never seen that before. The passengers face in the car was horrible!! 
I didn’t understand the comment in the video about “he put his brakes on sharp so I put my brakes on sharp”, the lorry was never going to slow down enough to avoid running into that slow moving queue, possibly because the lorry driver himself was rubbernecking.
There was no passenger, the driver was pushed across into the passenger side of the vehicle, that little Rover 214/216 folded big style huh !!!
This was almost identical to an incident I witnessed and dealt with in 2011, except there were two little girls in the back of the car.
