Has anyone worked for royal mail driving 7.5 tonners or the class 2 vehicles?
The 7.5 and 17t (they don’t have any plated at 18t) are two different parts of the business.
The 7.5t are usually operated from mail centres and a few from larger delivery offices.
The 17t and above are operated from VOC’s (vehicle operating centres) there are a few sites that have the VOC on site of a mail centre.
Work is clean and mostly runs using scheduled times.
What did you want to know?
I used to work with royal mail as postman last year and would like to work for them driving the hgv, how ever I can never see any vacancies advertised for it.

I’ve been driving for RM for over 20 years now and they tend to use agency drivers nowadays
they’ve just set on a few Class 1 drivers at Crick
does rm employ hgv driver or is it all through agencies now?. signed upp with manpower to try and get in over Christmas but not heard anything back yet.
