Yes its is - But that also means that RM have a duty of care regarding their business so I would hope that the relevant authorities are in RM checking it out as we speak.

Your spot on, royal mail should be treating people’s post as highly sensitive goods, not just chucking it in the back of any old truck that rolls in off the road. Your obviously a royal mail manager\employee, so maybe you need to travel around and see for yourself what goes on. Don’t shoot the messenger.

Some years back during one of RM’s regular strikes they left a collection of BR trolleys on the platform at Kings Cross station for days. During this time the full mail bags were either rifled or used as bedding material for the local homeless persons.

RM have always considered security a high priority, when it suits them.

.

If what I am saying on here is goin on throughout the company, then it’s got to be known by managers and above so what would be the point in me saying anything to the people you put the links for?? If security improves coz I put what I said on here, then it will have been worthwhile.

Do you work for RM■■?

what’s all this crap about national security blah blah blah . the thread is concerning idle , featherbedded staff not doing the job they are paid (well) to do

Maybe a few years ago when The Royal Mail was in force we should not mark out the weak spots, you been to the mint starts with double l in wales no coins allowed or that place off the a303 where the paper goes what about the secret nato base just past the beretta gun factory or that i,m wearing today a TSO shirt before was HMSO best yet you want me to tell the name of a Royal Protection Officer

This is not the proper place to raise your concerns about security at Royal Mail.

If you have concerns about risks from terrorism please report it to MI5 here:

mi5.gov.uk/output/contact-f … %20threats

If you are concerned that people are sharing information which could be useful to terrorists please report it to the police here:

direct.gov.uk/en/CrimeJustic … /DG_183993

If you feel people’s identities are being put at risk please contact SOCA on 0370 496 7622

It is about the bone idle individuals that they employ to do the job. I was due to start work with them in 1987 but got a phone call the day before to say don’t come to work tommorrow as the office is closed due to strike action.

Needless to say I never bothered working for them at that time. I later applied for work and was told that unless I had a British passport they could not employ me. I was born in UK and have lived here all my life.

This is the mentality of the management of RM.

J Edgar Hoover tended to exaggerate the dangers of these alleged subversives and many times overstepped his bounds in his pursuit of eliminating that perceived threat.

We managed to send another bomb to Bahrain I see!
