Rowan glen newton stewart

Hi anybody been here before i need info. Ill be heading from glasgow

What are you driving? You can go 2 ways. Head down the A77 as far as Girvan, right through Girvan (Or go via the supposed LOW BRIDGE ROUTE - No longer a low bridge though) then you come to a roundabout with a Big BRICK STYLE boat on it saying HASTE YE BACK, at that roundabout you then need to choose wether to go via the A714 to Newston Stewart via Barrhill (Red route road but GOOD if you take your time) or keep on the A77 via Cairnryan then onto the A75. Going the latter is a better road but will add on 30mins. The A77/75 is the road the one the trolley dolleys (Sainsburys/Co-op) MUST use when heading to Newton STewart. The A714 is fine, tad narrow and few bad bends and is used by the LOG boys that are in/out of the forest. The choice is yours but if it were me ad just go the A714.

So you routes laid out are either:-

A77 to Girvan, at roundabout go straight over for A714 Barrhill/Newton Stewart. Around 25miles down that road, just past Challoch, there will be a link road for A75 to STranraer literally 1mile before you go into Newton Stewart. Take a right there then 2 miles along there you will come to a T Junction (Will be a small graveyard to your left with 2 houses. Left for Dumfries or right for Stranraer. Take a left for Dumfries and drop down the 3 lane hill towards a roundabout, take 2nd exit (Straight ahead) and follow the A75 for around 5/6 miles. Once you have literally drove 5miles you will see what is a Tea Room to your right and a 1 lane village called PALNURE to your left, go by these literally 200 yds and Rowan Glen factory is on your right.

If going via Cairnryan:-

A77 to Girvan, 3rd to continue onto the A77 for Cairnryan. About 20miles down there you’ll enter Cairnryan (remember from the new Stenaline ship right through is 30mph), then when out of Cairnryan about 3 miles you will see sign that is telling you go left for A751 to Dumfries, take that then about 1.5miles over that link road take another left at T junction for the main A75. From there on just follow straight ahead until you get to that roundabout at Newton Stewart I was telling you about above and your only 5miles from that roundabout.

A714 flat out or GTFO… LOL

daylight a714 coz of the views, a77 if your a steering wheel attendant.

If your a co-op or Sainsburys style of driver then go A77 via Cairnryan lol…
