Hi, and congratulations on your recent test success. Haven’t got a clue if there’s anything online for low bridges but you will get a Trucker’s Atlas from a decent truckstop - or search online.
There’s also truck sat navs that, although I’ve never used, I’m told are pretty good.
Some of us “oldies” managed quite well by looking at road signs! Is that art gone for ever?
Your best online resource is Streetview. If you are able to plan before find the bridges your worried about then look at Streetview to see the actual signs. Truckers atlas is good but doesn’t have some low bridges on minor routes. The bigger the wagon the more you should check your non-truckers satnav isn’t sending you into a problem. Driving an artic with a tall trailer I always take a route that keeps me a m-ways or trunk roads as long as possible, even if the satnav has found a ‘shorter’ way. In a low 18 ton rigid I might be more tempted to cut a corner now and then.

Streetview is only available in urban areas and larger towns so generally won’t be of much use if you’re going some distance.
Hi jiggacook
I use the AA truckers Atlas but does not do some of the minor roads i think its phillips that do a more comprehensive one they are definatly in WH Smiths thats where i got mine

I use the AA Truckers Atlas to, to be honest you’ll probably find it easier to plan routes with a larger atlas than an A4 sized one imo

Have you checked recently? Since earlier this year it has about 98% of the UK. I don’t know that it would be very useful on a long journey, but that’s more because of how long it would take to look at than because there’s no coverage.

I’ve downloaded a thingy onto my tomtom that shows the heights on the map ahead but I agree with the above, you can’t beat getting into the habit of checking and noticing the street signs out of your windscreen
Had one of the Truck Atlas on Maritime.A low bridge had been marked on the way to one of the quarries. But I had been up there when I was on International with no Sat or Truck Atlas just asking the local drivers the way & knew I could get under it .It was an arch & if you stayed in the middle you got thru. There was a convoy going to the quarry to collect. I was first there & first down the docks. The others made a massive detour & got there late. I told 'em they could return under the bridge but they wouldn’t believe me.
